"Did you know that the Ćupria’s School for Music Talents is one of only three institutions in Europe that provides boarding education for musically gifted children from the age of seven, training them to become professional musicians?
This unique institution in Serbia is the home of talented and ambitious children aged from 7 to 18, from Serbia and the region. They live in a boarding school and follow a very demanding ten-year program of musical and general studies. Specializing in string instruments, the school is closely connected to the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and it celebrated last year its 50th anniversary. It has been awarded the status of an institution of special national significance, daily justified through the excellent results of its students in national and international competitions. The numerous public performances in which they participate encourage them, give them self-confidence, and provide them with invaluable experience.
With this in mind, we created the Strings and Stars concert series, which connects the school's students with renowned international soloists and gives them the opportunity to show their exceptional talents to their families, friends, and all music lovers at concerts in Ćuprija and Belgrade. These unique events which take place in their hometown and in the prestigious Kolarac Hall are both a reward for their hard work and an opportunity to collaborate with renowned soloists and orchestras as well as to experience the joys and responsibilities of performing. The audience, in turn, leaves these concerts enchanted by the music, and admiring these young artists.
In order to ensure the necessary conditions for organizing the Strings and Stars concerts and to raise the necessary funds, we recently established the Maya Le Roux Foundation. We invite you to join us in this mission and make a donation to support the forthcoming concerts, which will take place on December 5th in Ćuprija and December 7th at the Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade.
